Magic Soy Sauce I use all the time!

Updated: Jun 5, 2023

This is something I should've posted first before I put any recipes, because I use this sauce in almost every dish I make!

It's called Yang-nyum-jang (양념장) in Korean.

Once you make it, you can use it in many different ways

So, before I start posting more of my simple cooking recipes, here is the magic soy sauce recipe!

Soy sauce (3/4 cup)

Crushed garlic 2TS

Chopped spring onions 2TS

Chilli powder 1TS

Sesame seeds 1TS

Sesame oil 3TS

  1. Prepare an empty jar or container with a tight fitting lid. (It is easier to make a whole lot and keep it in the fridge so it is ready whenever you need it.)

  2. Finely chop the garlic and spring onions.

  3. Add the soy sauce to the container.

  4. Then, add the minced garlic, chopped spring oinons, chilli powder, sesame seeds and sesame oil to the container.

  5. Mix all the ingredients together well.

  6. Store it in the fridge upto 3-4 weeks.

There are so many ways to use this magic soy sauce and I will be posting one by one!

Here is a 30 seconds video of making it!

To give you some ideas of how to use the magic soy sauce...
  1. Use it when you stirfry vegetables

  2. Use it as a dip for dumplings

  3. Use the sauce with wasabi for kimbop or sushi

  4. Use it to season soup
