These days, even a 10 year old child's day is filled with so many activities!
It almost seems like the level of your busyness is a measure of how well you are living.
"Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life!"
I love the quote here and I think the illustration is really clever. The guy chasing money busily is just heading towards his own grave! Busy making a living, only to regret it on your deathbed.
It is certainly true that being too busy and focused on material success can often lead us to neglect other important aspects of our lives, such as our relationships, health, and personal happiness.
Here is another quote that I like from Dalai Lama.
When a journalist asked him about what surprised him most about humanity,
he replied;
Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money in order to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present,
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.
Just brilliant. It captures the core mistakes that most of us, as humans, are making without even realizing!
If you have come across this posting today, then how about reflecting on your life if you are missing out on things that are actually important to you due to your hectic life style?
